This is a chance to do something practical for your local environment and have a good day out in the countryside at the same time.
We have been advised that the local branch of BTCV (formerly known as British Trust for Conservation Volunteers) are having a two day attack on Himalayan Balsam on the Upper Bure. This is an introduced and invasive species that likes river banks. The plan is to pull the weed on upper reaches of the river to prevent spread lower down. You are cordially invited to attend, full support will be given. DAY ONE will be at Blickling on Monday 4th July, meet at the car park at 1pm and DAY TWO will be at Itteringham on Friday 8th July meeting at the Community Hall car park also at 1pm.
